House & Home
Standing at the heart of the estate, Hadspen commands sweeping views over formal gardens, manicured lawns and terraces with rolling Somerset hills beyond.
Hadspen House was built in the 17th century, then remodelled in Georgian times. Capturing the essence of a Georgian family home, its restrained, classical beauty is offset by playful design and curious collections.
Sit out on the Terrace with a Newt G&T. Find your perfect cosy corner in the Library by roaring fires. Be your own DJ in the colourful Croquet Room. Indulge in complimentary Cream Tea in the Drawing Room daily and listen to live jazz of an evening in the hotel Bar.
A Garden With Rooms
Hadspen House offers the quintessential luxurious Georgian backdrop in which to relax, rest your head and feel at home. Enjoy exquisite views over the gardens and hotel grounds, settle into serene loft spaces and experience original manor house charm at the top of the house.
Beyond the house, the original working Stable Yard has been transformed into unique and smile-inducing accommodation, retaining characteristics harking back to its equestrian past.
Step out of your room straight into the garden Spa. Take tea in the Library. Enjoy a game of badminton in Old Knobbly. Sip cocktails in the Bar and enjoy a spot of stargazing before bed.
Hadspen Spa
Relax and unwind in the spa with its indoor-outdoor pool, steam room, sauna, salt infusion chamber and treatment rooms. Reconnect in the Medieval Herb garden, sit for a manicure, get some added stress relief through couples’ mud therapy, or enjoy a proper washdown in the hammam. If you are looking for a bit more action, work up a sweat in the Gym while watching the gardeners tending to vegetables in the kitchen garden or join one of many yoga and wellbeing classes. Hotel residents can also enjoy the pool at the Farmyard during their stay.
The Botanical Rooms
Enjoy elegant and seasonal dining, inspired by and gathered from your surroundings. Menus showcase estate reared British White beef, lamb and venison alongside the freshest market garden vegetables, day boat fish from the Dorset coast and fleeting ingredients foraged from the hedgerows and woodland.
For sharing style dining, Farmyard Kitchen is just a 15 minute bike or 10 minute buggy ride through beautiful cyder orchards.
